SF2 is Now FastFlow
April 23, 2026

Sara Binns
We’re making a small but overdue change at BigShort.
SF2 is now called FastFlow.
The reason is simple: having two different indicators tied to the SmartFlow name was confusing. We had SmartFlow 2 and SmartFlow 3, even though they are very different products. Too many people had to stop and ask which one was which.
That’s a naming problem.
Why FastFlow
This indicator is built to track fast, aggressive flow activity — the type of speed-driven order flow commonly associated with HFT and short-term algorithmic activity.
FastFlow describes that much better than SF2 ever did.
It’s clear, direct, and fits what the indicator is actually measuring.
What About SF3?
SmartFlow 3 remains our flagship premium indicator, available to Elite members.
If FastFlow is about speed, SmartFlow 3 is about intelligence.
So yes, in a sense, SF3 is the actually smart flow.
Unlike Tesla, we didn’t feel the need to literally name it that.
What's Changing
Just the name.
The logic, calculations, and signals are exactly the same. If you used SF2 before, nothing about the indicator itself has changed.
Going Forward
You’ll start seeing FastFlow across BigShort going forward.
SmartFlow 3 stays the same.
SF2 is now FastFlow.
